You can usually never go wrong with fish tacos from the waterfront, being that these joints are on the actual ocean they seem to just know what’s up. This time we’re out at the Edmonds waterfront at Anthony’s Beach Cafe for some mahi mahi. Now these were pretty good don’t get me wrong, but like I said, not up to par for being directly on the puget sound. The fish was cooked perfectly, grilled with cilantro and lime and absolutely on point. The rest of them was just boring though. No spice or flair or anything really. They used cabbage and tomatoes instead of coleslaw and pico de gallo, maybe that that had something to do with it. There was a salsa mayo of some kind but it was really light. Also came with flour tortillas which aren’t my favorite. The price was pretty average at $13.95. So like I said, good but not great. Which is upsetting considering how hard that god damn chef went in the kitchen grillin’ up the mahi. Oh well, can’t win em all.
