Bamboo Bar & Grill (Seattle, WA)

I was out at the West Seattle Street Fair not too long ago with my unofficial taco companion Grant and we decided we better make a quick trip down to Alki to grab some food (talk to girls). After about 3.5 hours of driving around the same four blocks, we were able to find a real nice parking spot right by Bamboo Bar & Grill and decided this was the spot to grub (and talk to girls). Something strange happened on this particular fish taco journey though that has never happened to me before. I devoured the first taco in about two minutes (per usual) and it was absolutely delicious, but when I moved on to the second one I couldn’t even convince myself to eat it. The fish on the first one was perfect, but on the second one it was one of the grossest things I have ever experienced. I am still very confused by this. Very, very confused. They gained some serious points for the hornitos lime aioli/ pico de gallo combo (FIRE), but definitely lost some on the flour tortillas and the completely strange tasting second taco. All I want to know is WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT SECOND TACO?! The service was definitely good though so I will give them that and you can’t beat eating right on the beach. Consistency though, is the name of the game.

Taste 2/5. Price 3/5. Health 2/5.
